The Saxon royals' summer estate: innovation and design of new access systems for Wackerbarth Castle
INFO ABOUT THE PROJECT
How to manage the accesses in touristic buildings combining the security of mechanics and the flexibility of electronics
Location: Radebeul, Germany
In the small, town of Radebeul, not far from Dresden, the Saxon royal family had a summer estate built between 1727 and 1729, surrounded by beautiful vineyards. This was the birthplace of Wackerbarth Castle, still today a popular place for wine tastings or guided tours through its rows of vines and baroque garden. In total respect for the architecture and tradition of this castle, ISEO renewed the access systems of the building, perfectly combining the historical design with the innovation of its products.

Requests

The owner's wish and request was to be able to manage in semplicity and flexibility mutliple accesses of staff and visitors to the different rooms quickly and easily with one single key, in total respect for the architecture and tradition of this castle.

Our contribution

Following these requests ISEO replied with the installation of a solution which perfectly combines the solidity a mechanic product with the fexibility of an electronic one: CSF F9000 mechatronic cylinders with vertical key. Now with a single key employees can open multiple gates on specific days: in addition, the administrator can trace each single entry (even the unauthorized ones) and the key F9000 is protected against duplication for greater security. This solution can also adapt to future extensions: the aim is in fact to be able to quickly and easily manage access to the various rooms by staff and visitors.
